The Luminous Mysteries, added by Pope St. John Paul II in 2002, draw on the years between the hidden life of Christ and his Passion — the years of his public ministry. They show us Christ at work in the world: at his baptism, at Cana, in his preaching, on the mountain of the Transfiguration, and at the Last Supper.
